They look really pretty :)
貴 is not honour though. It literally means "expensive." It can mean "honour" when used in contexts such as 您貴姓 (Your honourable surname), but otherwise, if i were to look at 貴 tattooed to someone's arm, for example, I'd laugh.

Nice! Sometimes I see Chinese characters in brushes and shapes without any translations, so it's good to find something like this! Thanks for sharing!

Chinese does have a form of alphabet but it's not used in everyday use. I can read most of these and they're definitely Chinese.

I see that you wrote this over 2 years ago, but a late answer is better than none. No, they don't have a character for every single word. That would be nearly impossible, because if you include names and technical words the average person knows tens of thousands of words. Chinese uses a lot of character combinations, reducing the number they have to memorize. I read a statistic saying that an average, educated Chinese person knows about 6000 characters. Still a whole lot!

谢谢!:D I can tell you that beauty, love and moon are definitely Chinese. Friend is too although I usually see it written 朋友 (the characters side by side not above each other). As for the rest, I'm not familiar with the words in Chinese (and I don't speak Japanese) so can't tell you.

kanji actually means `Chinese characters`. look up `kanji` in a dictionary and it will say `Chinese characters`. The characters you`ve used are all used in Japanese as well except `sunrise` which is 日の出 and `friend` which is 友達 or 友人, some of the meanings are different like 命 directly means `life` not `destiny` in Japanese but then again Japanese is a very broad language and unlike Chinese where the characters only have one reading kanji usually has 3 or 4 different readings each with a related yet sometimes different definition. for example 僕 `boku` can mean `I/me` or `servant`. Completely different meanings but same kanji. (in Chinese it only means `servant`). Another example 平 in Japanese can mean peace, flat (as in a surface), average (of a number), and many more.

She once printed off a picture of the word "love" in chinese (or japenes cant rmemeber), then got silver nail polish and drew it on her door! Its still there, and now she'll love this, and be so happy =) thankyou again

Chinese and Japanese calligraphy is so pretty but so difficult to read, even when you can read in those languages (I can read "moon," since it's the same in Japanese as Chinese) ! But, yes, very, very pretty! :)

That's because their "words" are more than just verbal utterances with an agreed upon meaning, they are ideas manifested by art.

I hope you find a good use for them :-)
